I was looking for a healthy snack alternative came up with air fried Chicken Nuggets, You won't believe that it only takes three ingredients to make. I saw a version of this on social media and gave it a few tries and finally came up with the perfect way to air fry them. Make these for or with your kids they and adults will love them. You can use any of your favorite dipping sauces a few ideas; bbq, plain ketchup, ranch or add some sriracha for those who like a little kick. I've added my spicy aioli recipe for you to try. Enjoy!
Ingredients: makes 12 nuggets
1 12.5 oz can Chunk Chicken Breast
1 cup Shredded Mozzarella
1 Egg
*I've used alternatives and best to follow exact ingredients and directions
Directions:
IMPORTANT: Make sure all the liquid is squeezed out of your can of chicken breast chunks. Don't add spices until you make this recipe as is.
In a food processor add your chicken, egg and shredded mozzarella, blend until smooth
Set your air fryer on 400 degrees for 11 minutes
Take out tray from air fryer and start making your nuggets using a small scoop and forming into nugget shape, place on your rack, start your air fryer to heat and put nuggets in when it indicates that it's ready to add food
when air fryer says turn food, wait at least 40-50 seconds prior to doing, this helps nuggets set and makes them easier to remove and turn, pull each nugget straight up from rack and turn each of them, continue to air fry the remaining time
When time is done place nuggets on a rack, best to eat right away but if any left over refrigerate and reheat you can use microwave or a quick reheat in the air fryer for a crisper outer side.
When serving add your favorite dipping sauces, Enjoy!
